Tomato Apple Chutney

Made this recipe of almost all donated ingredients and sold the chutney at a fundraiser for a program to help low income people get fresh produce at farmers' markets.

Ingredients
- 1/2 lb. onions, chopped
- 5 C green tomatoes, chopped
- 3 C apples, peeled and chopped
- 1 lg.red pepper, chopped
- 1/2 C raisins
- 2 Tbsp fresh ginger, minced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 tsp mustard seed
- 1/2 tsp ground cumin
- 1 tsp ground coriander
- 1/8 tsp nutmeg
- 1/8 tsp cayenne
- 2 tsp salt
- 1 C sugar
- 1 C cider vinegar
- 1/2 tsp turmeric
- 1 tsp minced jalapenos

Preparation
Step 1
Mix all ingredients together and cook on medium heat until apples are tender. Can in a water bath. Also keeps a week or so in the refrigerator if you will be using it in that time.
