I've been told by a few people that they really love my hummus. I made a spicy version that was really tasty and I thought I'd share the recipe.
Yield: 1 large bowl
cans chickpeas (or garbanzo beans)
small cloves of garlic (outer skins and woody ends removed)
tbsp tahini (sesame seed puree)
tbsp lemon juice (I used the dreaded plastic squeezy guy cause that's what I had)
cup olive oil (you could split half this liquid with water if you wanted)
Place first 4 ingredients in food processor and puree until things are pretty chopped up. Slowly pour in olive oil while continuing to process. Once hummus is smooth and creamy, add the salt, pepper and chili sauce. I like to serve with a little pool of olive oil and a sprinkling of paprika.
