Tastes like a chocolate covered orange. The praline makes this cake rich and buttery in texture; the flavor combo is unbeatable!
Yield: 10 servings
zest of one large orange
eggs
cup crushed hazelnut praline (finely ground)
Combine salt, baking powder, baking soda, orange zest, and sugars in a large bowl.
In a medium sized bowl, combine eggs, milk, juice, and oil.
Mix ingredients from medium bowl into a larger bowl with the dry ingredients.
Fold in the praline and chocolate chips.
Bake at 350 for about 40–45 minutes in a non-stick loaf pan.
For the glaze:
combine about ⅓ cup cocoa, ½–⅔ cup powdered sugar, and 2–2 ½ TBSP orange juice in a medium sized bowl, mix well…should have a slightly runny texture so that you can drizzle it over the cake after it's cooled.
