Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup salted butter
  • 2 cups light brown sugar*
  • 2 t. baking powder
  • 1 t. salt
  • 1 t. vanilla
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 1 1/2 cups flour
  • 1 cup chopped nuts
  • 2 cups butterscotch chips or flavor of choice

Preparation

Step 1

Spray a 9x13” baking pan with the spray with flour. Melt butter. Add brown sugar and stir well. Mix in baking powder and salt; stir in vanilla and eggs. Add flour by ½ cup increments, stirring in each half cup before adding the next. Stir in nuts and chips.

Spoon batter into pan and smooth top. Bake at 350 for 20-25 minutes. Cool completely before cutting.

*If you have dark brown sugar, mix 1 cup dark brown sugar and 1 cup white sugar. You can make brown sugar by mixing molasses into white sugar until it’s the right color.
