A juicy cut of pork ribs smothered in sweet and savory homemade barbecue sauce.
Yield: 2-4 servings
This yields 2-4 servings depending on how hungry you are. The sauce makes enough for 4 center cut pork loin ribs weighing a total of about 2 pounds.
TBSP dehydrated bell pepper blend
a pinch of pepper
Cook ribs in crock pot with ¼ cup water. Season with spices like black pepper, white pepper, onion powder, and steak seasoning. Cook on high for 2 hours.
Preheat oven to 350
Sautee chopped onion and crushed garlic in olive oil over a medium flame.
Add ketchup, lower flame to med/low. Add apple cider vinegar, brown sugar, honey, and molasses. Simmer and stir for a few minutes.
Add bell peppers, beef bouillon, pinch of pepper, paprika, cumin, and chili powder. Simmer for 5 minutes.
Stir in applesauce and, lastly, add liquid smoke.
Cover ribs with sauce, covering each one evenly with your hands. Bake ribs in an oven-safe baking dish covered in foil for about 45 minutes on 350.
