  • For the ribs seasoning:
  • This yields 2-4 servings depending on how hungry you are. The sauce makes enough for 4 center cut pork loin ribs weighing a total of about 2 pounds.
  • Salt
  • Black Pepper
  • White Pepper
  • Steak Seasoning
  • For the BBQ sauce:
  • 1/2 cup ketchup
  • 1/8 cup extra virgin olive oil
  • 1/2 onion
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • 1/8 cup apple cider vinegar
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/8 cup honey
  • 2 TBSP molasses
  • 1/4 cup applesauce
  • 2 TBSP dehydrated bell pepper blend
  • 1 tsp beef bouillon
  • pinch a pinch of pepper
  • 1/4 tsp paprika
  • 1/4 tsp cumin
  • 1/2 tsp chili powder
  • 1/4-1/3 tsp liquid smoke

Preparation

Step 1

Cook ribs in crock pot with 1/4 cup water. Season with spices like black pepper, white pepper, onion powder, and steak seasoning. Cook on high for 2 hours.

Preheat oven to 350

Sautee chopped onion and crushed garlic in olive oil over a medium flame.

Add ketchup, lower flame to med/low. Add apple cider vinegar, brown sugar, honey, and molasses. Simmer and stir for a few minutes.

Add bell peppers, beef bouillon, pinch of pepper, paprika, cumin, and chili powder. Simmer for 5 minutes.

Stir in applesauce and, lastly, add liquid smoke.

Cover ribs with sauce, covering each one evenly with your hands. Bake ribs in an oven-safe baking dish covered in foil for about 45 minutes on 350.
