I did not expect this to be as good as it is. This became an immediate family favorite!
*place chicken, broth, tomato juice, celery, onion, potatos, hot sauce, and chili pepper in the crockpot.
*cook on low for 4 hours.
*Turn temp up to high and cook until bubbly. If you need more water at this point,, add it.
*combine biscuit mix, cornmeal, and ½ cup of the cheese. Add milk and stir until just moistened.
*Drop by spoonfulls into bubbly broth and cook for an additional 2 ½ hours.
*Sprinkle the rest of the cheese over the dish and serve.
