Easy Ground Beef Stroganoff

Common pantry staples and ground beef come together to perform a fast act in your skillet! A great choice for a busy week night supper!
Ingredients
- 1 pound lean ground beef
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 2 garlic cloves, finely minced
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 4 tablespoon all-purpose flour
- 2 1/2 cups beef broth
- 1 teaspoon dried parsley leaves
- 1 tablespoon ketchup
- 1 teaspoon coarse salt
- Freshly ground pepper to taste
- 1 (4-ounce) can mushrooms, any style
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1 (12-ounce) package egg noodles

Preparation
Step 1
Cook noodles according to package directions. Set aside and keep warm.
In large skillet, brown ground beef and drain. Add onions and garlic; cook until onion has softened. Add butter and melt; add flour and cook for 1 minute, stirring constantly. Slowly stir in beef broth. Add remaining ingredients, except the sour cream. Bring sauce to a boil, reduce heat and simmer for 10 minutes.
Stir in sour cream and heat through. Do not boil. Serve over cooked noodles.
Variation: Serve sauce over cooked rice or potatoes instead of noodles.
