I got this recipe from a very nice lady, Leona Irvine. She was a great cook and she spent many years making meals for groups of people that went to sing for people that were in prison on Sunday afternoons.

Chicken in Mushroom Gravy 0 Picture

Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup Flour
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • Paprika
  • Pepper
  • 2-3 lbs Chicken - breasts, thighs, or whole cut chicken
  • Oil for browning
  • 1 can Cream of Mushroom Soup
  • 1 small Onion, chopped
  • 1 Green Pepper, chopped
  • 1 cup approx. Frozen Peas

Preparation

Step 1

Mix together flour, salt, pepper and paprika. Shake the chicken in this mixture until coated.

Heat oil in skillet and brown chicken. Remove and place in baking dish.

Slightly dilute can of mushroom soup. Pour over chicken. Sprinkle chopped onion and green pepper over top.

Bake at 375 degrees until almost done. On top, sprinkle frozen peas,as many as desired. Continue cooking until chicken and peas are done. Eat and Enjoy!
