A great combination of oats, nuts and fruit, with a vanilla undertone. Makes a great breakfast cereal or sprinkled on your favorite yogurt.

Ingredients

  • 4-1/2 cups Uncooked Old-Fashioned Oats
  • 1-1/2 cups Almonds
  • 1 cup Unsalted Sunflower Seeds
  • 1 cup Ground Flaxseed
  • 1 tsp Cinnamon
  • 3/4 tsp Nutmeg
  • 3/4 tsp Allspice
  • 4 tbsp Molasses
  • 4 tbsp Canola Oil
  • 3 tbsp Honey
  • 2 tbsp Apple Juice
  • 2 tbsp Vanilla
  • 2 cups Dried Cherry-Berry mixture or two cups of dried fruit of your choice

Preparation

Step 1

In a 9x13 baking pan or a large cookie sheet, combine the oats, almonds, sunflower seeds, flaxseed, cinnamon, nutmeg and allspice.

In a 2-cup measuring cup, combine the molasses, oil, honey, apple juice and vanilla. Stir together well. Drizzle over the dry mixture in the pan and stir to coat the dry mixture evenly with the honey mixture.

Bake at 300 degrees for 40 minutes, stirring every 10 minutes. When completely cooled, stir in the dried cherry berry mix. Store in a large zip-top bag or an air-tight container.
