Basic Drop Scones
Very easy basic scone recipe. You can add a cup of almost anything to them, such as, any flavor chip, any dried fruit or nuts. Also try adding any citrus rind or your choice, to make the flavor pop.

Ingredients
- 2 cup Flour
- 1/2 cup Sugar
- 2 tsp Baking Powder
- 1/8 tsp Salt
- 6 tbsp Butter, cold and cut into pieces
- 1 cup mix-in ie. raisins, dried cherries, dried cranberries, any chopped dried fruit, nuts, or any flavor chips, or a combination of several.
- 1/2 cup Milk
- 1 tbsp Vanilla or Almond Extract
- 1 Egg

Preparation
Step 1
In a large bowl,combine flour, sugar, baking powder and salt.
Cut butter in with a pastry cutter until crumbly.
Add raisins or mix-in of choice. (I like to add white chocolate chips and dried cherries.)
In small bowl, mix egg and milk until well mixed.
Add to the flour mixture, stirring until just blended.
Drop with a spoon or a scoop onto a baking pan lined with parchment paper.
Bake 13-15 minutes or until golden brown.
Cool on a wire rack.
