Preparation

Step 1

Mix:
1 cup butter
1 cup sugar
1 cup brown sugar

Add to above mixture:
2 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla
-
Add (not all at once):
2 cups all-purpose flour
2 1/2 cups oats (powdered in blender)
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon soda

Add last:
12 ounces chocolate chips
4 ounces melted Hershey Bar
1 1/2 cups chopped pecans

Drop (golf ball size) on ungreased cookie sheet 2 inches apart. Bake at 375deg for 8 minutes. Cookies will not appear done.

NOTE: Iris bakes these cookies using 1 tablespoon vanilla, 1 1/2 cups oatmeal, 1/2 teaspoon baking powder and the Hershey bar grated. She rolls the dough into balls and places 2 inches apart on a cookie sheet and bakes for 6 minutes.
