(3 lb.) fresh picnic shoulder pork roast

Spicy Barbecue Rub
Combine ingredients in bowl; mix well. Store in an airtight container.
Rub spicy barbecue rub liberally over entire surface of meat. Place meat in slow cooker; add beer. Cook on low for 8 hours.
Remove meat from cooker and let stand for 15 minutes; remove any fat and shred meat using 2 forks. Mound on a platter and pour over some of the juice from the cooker just to moisten.
Serve on rolls with your favorite barbecue sauce.
