Slow Cooker Pulled Pork Sandwiches

Ingredients
- 1 (3 lb.) fresh picnic shoulder pork roast
- Spicy Barbecue Rub (recipe below)
- 1/4 cup beer
- 8 sandwich rolls
- Spicy Barbecue Rub
- 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup garlic salt
- 1/2 cup paprika
- 3 Tbsp. seasoned salt
- 1 Tbsp. celery salt
- 1/4 cup chili powder
- 3 Tbsp. black pepper
- 1 Tbsp. cayenne pepper
- 1 Tbsp. cumin
- 1/2 tsp. allspice
- 1/2 tsp. savory
- Combine ingredients in bowl; mix well. Store in an airtight container.

Preparation
Step 1
Rub spicy barbecue rub liberally over entire surface of meat. Place meat in slow cooker; add beer. Cook on low for 8 hours.
Remove meat from cooker and let stand for 15 minutes; remove any fat and shred meat using 2 forks. Mound on a platter and pour over some of the juice from the cooker just to moisten.
Serve on rolls with your favorite barbecue sauce.
