These are the most moist and tasty bars ever. They are dense and the cream cheese frosting makes them just heavenly. This makes a large amount, so it is perfect for gatherings!

Ingredients

  • Mix together:
  • 4 eggs
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 1 cup veg. oil
  • 1 - 15 oz. can pumpkin
  • Sift together and add:
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp. cloves
  • 1 tsp. baking soda
  • 2 tsp. baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp. ginger
  • 1/2 tsp. nutmeg
  • 2 tsp. cinnamon
  • Frosting:
  • 1 - 6 oz. pkge. cream cheese
  • 3/4 stick of butter
  • 1 tsp. cream (or milk)
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 4 cups powdered sugar

Preparation

Step 1

Mix first two sets of ingredients together and pour into a greased and floured 12" x 18" x 1" pan (I use a jelly roll pan). Bake at 350 degrees for 25 minutes.

Frosting:
Beat cheese, butter, vanilla and cream together until soft. Add sugar until correct consistency to spread. Cut into 2" x 3" bars
