Slow-Cooked Brown Sugar Apples

Nothing says comfort like the aroma of these apples cooking...unless, of course, it's sitting down to enjoy them!

Ingredients
- 6 apples, cored
- 3/4 cup orange juice
- 1/2 cup apple cider
- 1/4 tsp. cinnamon
- 1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
- Optional: Whipped topping

Preparation
Step 1
Peel a strip around the top of each apple to help prevent cracking. Arrange apples in a slow cooker. In large bowl, combine remaining ingredients except whipped topping; mix to blend. Spoon over apples. Cover and cook on low setting for 3 to 4 hours, until apples are tender.
Cool slightly and serve warm with whipped topping, if desired.
