My mom made the best pie dough...she was from the south (Mississippi) and they sure made some wonderful pies!

Ingredients

  • 2 cups of flour
  • 2/3 cup Crisco + 2 tbsp. (chilled)
  • 1 tsp. Salt
  • 1/4 cup water (maybe a little more)

Preparation

Step 1

Use fork to blend. Put dry ingredients together, then cut in chilled shortening to gravel size. Add just enough water to keep dough holding together.
