Preparation
Step 1
Preheat oven to 325 degrees fahrenheit.
Lightly grease and flour a 17 x 12 x 1 inch baking pan and set aside.
Sift together flour, cocoa powder, and salt in a bowl and stir to mix. Set aside.
Cream together eggs, sugar, butter , and vanilla in a separate bowl with an electric mixer until well blended.
Add the flour mixture to the butter mixture and mix just until the dry ingredients are moist and blended. Do Not over mix.
Fold in your walnuts and chocolate chips. Stir to blend. Spread the batter evenly into the prepared pan.
Bake for 35-40 minutes, until the brownies are firm to the touch. They will be slightly soft in the center when tested with a toothpick. Remove from the oven and cool 35-40 minutes before cutting.
Cut into 2 1/2 x 3 inch bars. For smaller, cut smaller.
** Instead of chocolate chips, you can sub white chips or peanut butter chips. Pecans for the walnuts also.
