Broccoflower with Lemon, Tamari and Garlic Sauce

A quick vegetable side with a tangy sauce that even kids usually enjoy. Broccoflower is milder in flavor than either cauliflower or broccoli.
Ingredients
- For sauce:
- 1 broccoflower
- 2 t. kosher salt
- juice of 1 fresh lemon
- 1 lg. garlic clove, crushed
- Tamari to taste
- Extra virgin olive oil to taste
- salt to taste

Preparation
Step 1
Remove the stem and core from the broccoflower. Cut in half and set 1 half aside for another purpose.
Break or cut the remaining half broccoflower into bite-size florets.
Bring a 4 qt. saucepan full of water to a boil and add 2 t. kosher salt. Add the broccoflower and cook for 4 minutes. Remove from the cooking water and drain in a mesh strainer or colander. Set aside to cool.
Make sauce: Combine the fresh lemon juice and crushed garlic in a small bowl. Add tamari and olive oil to taste. Add salt if needed.
Serve sauce in small bowls for dipping vegetables into, or place broccoflower in individual serving dishes and pour some sauce over each serving.
